James McNally is the Devon and Somerset Law Society’s Solicitor of the Year 2024.
Having moved from Leeds to study at Exeter University James joined Slee Blackwell as a trainee in 2001. He is now a Partner in the firm and head of our Personal Injury department. A former Devon and Somerset Law Society Young Solicitor of the Year. James has also been recognised by the Attorney General as a “Pro Bono Hero”.
James was named in the independent Legal 500 as one of the UK’s leading experts in Animals Act claims and in particular dog bite injuries. Indeed, James, who has recovered compensation in the millions for his clients, is now known nationwide simply as the dog bite solicitor.
Owner of a Volkswagen T25 Camper van, James can be found exploring Devon and Somerset most weekends.
