never-work-children-animals

Following the success of our first Croquet Challenge in September 2015, Family law solicitor Kit O’Brien went along to Conquest Equestrian Centre in Norton Fitzwarren, just outside Taunton, to present a cheque for £250 which we raised from the entries for the Challenge.

The competition among the equine stars at Conquest to be in the photo with the cheque was nearly as fierce as croquet itself,  but eventually Tommy was chosen as the star of our picture!  Tommy is a relatively new arrival at Conquest but is settling in beautifully and taking part in the activities that the Centre provides across the community, helping both children and adults through equine therapy.

At Slee Blackwell we see ourselves very much as part of the Taunton community in which we live and work and were really pleased to be able to provide support to a local charity that does such excellent work.

Our thanks once again go to the Taunton Vale Croquet Club for hosting us (and for patiently explaining the rules of croquet) and to all the members of the Taunton business community who entered our challenge.

Kit is pictured here with Teresa Wort, Conquest’s fundraiser, Georgia Readman one of Conquest’s excellent staff team and of course the lovely Tommy.  The croquet sticks were lucky to survive Tommy’s attempts to treat them as a light snack!

Never work with Children or Animals!
